- Jackets and Pants: Durable, protective gear for upper and lower body
- Gloves: Riding gloves for grip, protection, and comfort
- Rain Gear: Waterproof or water-resistant gear for unexpected weather

Buddy Rider System
- Riders will be paired into teams for enhanced safety and coordination.
Flexible Ride Pace
- The ride pace will be determined by the participants’ preferences, allowing for either spirited or relaxed paces.
First Aid
- All our tours are led by first-aid trained guides, equipped with essential medical supplies.
Support Vehicle
- Our support vehicle will follow the tour group, providing:
- Snacks and beverages
- Shelter from the elements
- Transportation in case of illness
- First-aid supplies if needed

Deposit
How do I pay for the tour?
Forms of payments accepted:

When you book a tour you are sent a ‘payment receipt’ with a confirmation number. You will receive an outline of your tour start and end dates and times, all associated tour costs, monies applied, balance due, and additional information. Final tour information will be sent after the final payment is received.
In all cases, in order to book a tour, a deposit will be required. The amount will vary depending on which tour you choose.
The standard payment process for Knowwhere Motorcycle Touring:
A non refundable deposit of 50% of the booked tour price is required at the time of confirmation. The non refundable deposit secures accommodations and the motorcycle rental.
The remaining 50% of the booked price is due 60 days prior to the tour start date.
If the booking is made less than 60 days before departure 100% is required at the time of confirmation.
If, following the deposit at the time of booking, any balance remains unpaid within 30 days of the departure date, we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled. Cancellation charges are applied as shown below.
Recommended Options
It is highly recommended to have trip cancellation insurance, as well as travel, health, and accident insurance.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Booking Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the tour cost is required at the time of booking. This deposit secures hotel bookings and motorcycle reservations.
Balance Payment
The remaining balance is due 60 days before the tour start date. Failure to receive the balance payment on time may result in cancellation of the reservation, with loss of deposit.
Cancellation Fees
- Cancellations received less than 60 days prior to the tour start date: 50% of the tour fee
- Cancellations received less than 30 days prior to the tour start date: 100% of the tour fee
Transfer of Fees
In the event of cancellation, lost tour fees can be transferred to a future tour booking within one year. If we are able to fill the reserved position, we will refund the amount paid by the replacement rider.
Changes to Tour Arrangements
Any changes to tour arrangements must be requested in writing by the person who booked the tour. We will do our best to accommodate changes, but cannot guarantee availability. Accommodation providers may charge a 50-100% amendment/cancellation fee, subject to their terms and conditions.
Tour Cancellation by Knowwhere Motorcycle Touring LLC
In rare cases, we may need to cancel a tour due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., road construction, hotel closures, weather, or acts of God). In such cases, we will offer alternative arrangements of comparable value or provide a full and prompt refund of the tour cost.
Written Confirmation
All cancellations, amendments, or changes must be sent to us in writing and will not take effect until we confirm receipt in writing.
​What is required to rent a motorcycle?
You must be 21 years of age to rent a motorcycle.
Licenses issued from the United States: All 50 states require a motorcycle endorsement on your drivers license that is equivalent to the motorcycle you are renting.
Trikes: A three-wheel vehicle endorsement may be required.
Here are some examples of alternative licenses that we accept:
Licenses issued by the European Union(Germany, Italy, France, United Kingdom, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden):
A1/A2 – Will allow you to rent scooters.
A – Will allow you to rent motorcycles or scooters.
B1 – Will allow you to rent three-wheeled vehicles.
Licenses issued from Canada: For all provinces except for Ontario
Ontario:
Class M1/M2 – Will allow you to rent scooters.
Class M – Will allow you to rent motorcycles or scooters.
Class M Condition M- Will allow you to rent three-wheeled vehicles.
Licenses issued from Australia:
R-Date – Will allow you to rent scooters.
R- Will allow you to rent motorcycles or scooters.
Licenses issued from Brazil:
Category A – Designation on your drivers license to ride any motorcycle or scooter.
International Drivers Permits
Although not required, it is recommended for all visitors with a license in a foreign language to obtain an IDP.
So long as your license is understandable, we will accept it.
